Square, Cnr Flinders & Swanston Streets Mr Lex Lasry QC has legal career spanning more than thirty years, including many highprofile and important legal proceedings. In 2004 he was appointed the Law Council of Australia's observer at the Guantanamo Bay Military Commission trial of David Hicks. Association. This year he was awarded the inaugural Law Counsel of Australia President’s Medal. He has been chairman of the Victorian Criminal Bar. Mr David Marr is the author of Patrick White: a Life and The High Price of Heaven and wrote Dark Victory with Marian Wilkinson. In a career spanning more than thirty years, he has written for the National Times and the Bulletin, been a reporter for Four Corners and, until recently, presenter of ABC TV’s Media Watch. He now writes for the Sydney Morning Herald. Dr Helen Szoke is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Conciliator of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission. Previously she was on the Board of Adult Multicultural Education Services, Chairperson of Women’s Health Victoria, a member Melbourne High School Council and a councillor in the Preston City Council. Helen is a member of the National Health and Medical Research Licensing Committee. Dr Zoe Wainer is undertaking surgical training at St Vincent’s Hospital. She is the President of the AMA Victorian Doctors in Training. Zoe has initiated many projects including an Indigenous Health agenda and International Health collaboration with the Nossal Institute for Global Health. |
